Odette 2008, the 13th International Conference and Exhibition for Supply Chain Management, IT, Product Design & Development and Telecommunications in the Automotive Industry, will take place in Strasbourg - France on October 21/22.

In talks with the automotive suppliers Benteler Automobiltechnik, Hella GmbH and Mahle GmbH, it became clear that the subject of Identity Management has now been actively taken up by the management of these companies. The focus is on the software solution User Access Manager. This software solution, developed together with one of the largest automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen, contains, in version 2.0, important elements of an Identity Management System. It is a mature solution for the administration of user identities on B2B Internet portals of the car manufacturers.

open4business attended for the second time  the “2nd European Identity Conference” held in Munich.

o4b plans a workshop with a major German car manufacturer in summer of 2008. The main topics will be various issues of the Identity Management System and the evaluation of the potential for the business optimisation process as well the utilisation of the b2b portal from the car manufacturers´ suppliers point of view.

BMW and o4b met in Munich to talk about Identity Management and new strategies.

Within a case study, the Munich Network Management Team (MNM Team) of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University has incorporated the ZF Portalmanager (User Access Manager from o4b) into their concept.

The UAM has been shortlisted by SAP for integration into their Netweaver Identity Management System.

The User Access Manager Version 2.1 will be available to the customers in the future.

After the very successful introduction of the new User Access Manager Version 2.0 at ZF Friedrichshafen AG the marketing of the IdM-Solution starts instantly.

The strategic decision of a collaboration between SAP (NetWeaver) and o4b (User Access Manager) is a result of two complementary Identity Management Systems.

open4business has once again completed a pilot project for testing the Odette-UAM interface for automatically exchanging user data with OEM portals. On behalf of its customer ZF Friedrichshafen AG o4b collaborated with PSA to make this pilot a reality.
